On Sunday May 31st, 2009, The Veteran's and The Ladie's Auxiliary held their Annual Installation of Officers in our Post Banquet Room at eleven am.

The Ladies went first with the Installing Officer chosen by the incoming President, Mary Reeser. Mary chose Edith Marsden for her Installing Officer because of her dedication to the Ladies Auxiliary for so many years. She definetely has been a very strong force in our organization over the years. She has spent so many hours of her time in perserving the photos of our Mexico Veterans. All of the pictures hanging in our Banquet Room are the work of Edith. I was so proud and honored that she agreed to Install the Officers of The Ladies Auxiliary and what a great job she did!!!!!!!! Hats off to you Edith with a heartfelt "Thank You". Edith is also the proud mother of our new Commander, Russell Marsden.

The Veteran's followed the Ladies with incoming Commander Russell Marsden chosing Hastings Post Commander John Williams as his Installing Officer. Part of the reason John was asked is because both Russell and John are Combat Viet Nam Veterans. A great job was also done by John!!!!! A heartfelt "Thank You" from Russell as well as all members of our Post. What a great honor to us that you agreed to Install Our Veterans!!!!!

After the Installation of Officers was complete a luncheon of homemade Manicotti Shells stuffed with cheese made by Mary Reeser and Ashley Henderson, Tossed Salad by Janice Gregory, Fresh Italian Bread and a Beautiful Cake made by Eddies Big M was served.
The Post Room was decorated in true American Patriotic Decor as well as Buddy Poppy Centerpieces. The Ladies all looked beautiful in their red, white and blue corsages adorned with Buddy Poppys.

A great day, a great time and just the beginning of a new year to be filled with amazings things to come to life, for we have named ourselves The Dream Team. If we all work together there is nothing that we can not accomplish!!!!!!!! Great success to all of the incoming officers: )

The only down side of the entire day was that unfortunately there were not enough Men's Auxiliary members that could attend so their Installation will have to be held at a later date and hopefully we will have updated photos of them to be added to the web site.
